About Us

The Mississippi Quilt Association (MOA) was founded in 1991. We are individuals with a love of quilts and quilting who are interested in preserving and promoting quilt making in the state.
Our members come from all walks of life. Our backgrounds may be different, but we share one thing in common - our love of quilts.

What We Do

MQA provides members with the opportunity to grow and develop their skills, learn about the history of quilt making, and meet new friends with a common interest. We help spread the word about quilting events in the state.

MQA members gather in person three times a year and connect virtually through sew-alongs, challenges, and a private, members-only Facebook group.

Gatherings

MA holds three "gatherings" (meetings) a year, usually in February, June, and October. The Spring and Fall gatherings rotate to different areas around the state, while the Summer gathering is always held in the Jackson area.

Gatherings include programs, demonstrations, vendors, and time for "show and tell." All-day classes are offered during the Summer gathering.
Anyone who has a love of quilts and quilting and who is interested in preserving and promoting quilt making is invited to join MQA. Our members come from all walks of life. Our backgrounds may be different, but we share one thing in common - our love of quilts. Annual dues (April 1st to March 31st) are $20.00 made payable to Mississippi Quilt Association (MQA). For anyone interested in joining, please fill click the link below to fill out the form and then send your dues to Nancy Losure, 751 Butler Rd, Starkville, MS 39759.
